Our 15th National Stidham* Family Reunion will be held in Wilmington, Delaware in the Summer of 2021
Date yet to be determined
Over the years when we’ve held our National Stidham* Family Reunions in Wilmington, our must-see itinerary stops have included: Old Swedes Church, Fort Christina Park with The Rocks and Carl Miles iconic monument to New Sweden, and the Copeland Maritime Center at the Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard.
Now we will be able to add another must-see stop: The New Sweden Farmstead Cabins at Governor Printz Park in Essington, Pennsylvania, just a short 20-minute tour bus ride up I-95 north of Wilmington.
Another wish we haven’t been able to pull off -- yet -- is a group sail on the Kalmar Nyckel. In previous years when we have been in Wilmington, the ship has been out on its annual ambassador tours sailing up and down the east coast making ports-o-call at several destinations, such as Boston, New York, Alexandria Virginia and others. In 2021, we're going to make it happen! Fingers crossed!
